The role

We are looking for a bright and passionate Senior Consultant with strong experience working in carbon accounting, to join our growing team at Robertsbridge. As an experienced consultant and sustainability professional, you will be excited by delivering positive change for clients. We welcome applications from candidates who have consultancy or in-house experience.

In your role, you will develop our carbon accounting offering and manage the delivery of any carbon accounting workstreams or projects for cross-sector clients. In the absence of these projects in the short term, you will be expected to support our existing offering, which includes: defining sustainability strategies; delivering, communicating and implementing sustainability programmes; and leading on strategic stakeholder engagement and mediation.

Our senior consultants manage the day-to-day delivery of work across numerous accounts and are expected to develop close relationships with clients, provide them with trusted and informed advice, regularly lead client facing meetings and ensure high quality client output.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Robertsbridge’s carbon accounting offering and practice
  • Lead on the day-to-day running of accounts, ensuring outputs are delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Manage junior colleagues’ weekly activities and workloads, alongside providing direction, advice and role modelling desired behaviours
  • Main client point of contact across accounts, leading regular client calls and presentations
  • Support new business activity, including drafting of content
  • Seek opportunities for organic growth on accounts, and across personal network to deliver carbon accounting for clients
  • Effective management upwards, including seeking input as required and escalating risks and issues in a timely manner
  • Support on internal company people activities, including line management, recruitment, training and resourcing

The ideal candidate

  • Strong track record conducting carbon accounting and/or delivering sustainability strategies and advisory
  • Displaying strong project management skills and understanding of client needs, they should be able to lead with minimal supervision on larger workstreams and/or provide strategic advice to clients
  • Able to confidently interact with clients and stakeholders, building strong relationships with key client contact points
  • Strong project management skills and good understanding of how to deliver sustainability strategies, campaigns and/or business change
  • Take an active role in people development and growing their external network
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

ROLE

We are looking for a bright and passionate public affairs consultant to join our growing team. You will have an excellent grasp of how Westminster and Whitehall operates, a proven track record of advising clients on UK politics and excellent client and project management skills. As an experienced consultant you will play a vital role as part of integrated campaign teams, working with your account leads to construct political pathways to deliver business outcomes and effect meaningful change. In your roles as a consultant you will be responsible for providing high-quality support in the delivery of political strategies, stakeholder management, coalition building and and providing political insight to our clients. Reporting to a senior consultant you will manage research and execution on accounts, building relationships with clients, often leading on client delivery calls, whilst helping us build client and political networks.

Our consultants support the team with day-to-day management of clients across numerous accounts and are expected to develop relationships with clients and wider stakeholders by demonstrating an understanding of how client objectives can be supported integrated campaign strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing day-to-day support on client accounts, assisting the client team with successful delivery of work.
  • Proactively meeting client objectives by anticipating needs, identifying challenges, and addressing them.
  • Supporting the team in drafting presentations and plans, focusing on high quality of work and attention to detail.
  • Keeping track of delivery of work against agreed plans and objectives, helping co-ordinate work and keep track of deadlines.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • 3-5 years relevant experience in a political / public affairs role, such as Parliament / Scottish Parliament / Senedd / Northern Irish Assembly / regional government, political campaigns, agency and / or in-house.
  • Strong project management skills and experience, and an ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities at once.
  • Preferred experience in a direct client engagement and management role, with strong client handling skills and the ability to develop long-term relationships.
  • Preferred experience working directly in politics and / or political campaigns.
  • Experience of managing research and data to inform projects.
